Jon Flanagan has been called up to the England U21 squad for the forthcoming Euro 2013 qualifiers in Iceland and Norway.
The 18-year-old is promoted from the U19s and replaces Middlesbrough's Joe Bennett, who has been withdrawn due to illness.
Flanagan's Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson, Martin Kelly and Jonjo Shelvey are also in the squad.
England will play Iceland on Thursday, October 6 before taking on Norway on Monday, October 11.
