Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo claims Liverpool are a bogey side for his team with the Reds unbeaten in the top-flight against them since 2009-10.
The Reds have recorded three Barclays Premier League doubles over Chelsea - all in the last four seasons, and Brendan Rodgers' charges will head to Stamford Bridge full of confidence.
Di Matteo said: "They are our bogey team because they always seem to play exceptionally well against us and get results.
"It's always a difficult game against Liverpool and it'll be difficult to beat them.
"We'll have to make sure we're very focused and we'll need to play a very good game to win it."
Chelsea will welcome back captain John Terry after his domestic suspension but Ashley Cole remains a doubt.
Di Matteo added: "He'll (Terry) be available for Sunday, for sure, and he'll be in a good position to be involved."
