There was disappointment today for Academy starlets Brad Smith and Adam Morgan as England crashed out of the UEFA European U17 Championships after a 1-0 semi-final defeat to Holland.
Liverpool's U16 youngster Jack Dunn was an unused substitute after he replaced the injured Raheem Sterling in the squad.
Left-back Smith started while Morgan came on as a 49th minute substitute.
England had the first opening after 23 minutes but Jake Caskey's effort was ruled out for offside.
Three minutes later the Dutch grabbed the only goal when Arsenal's Kyle Ebecilio found the net.
Academy hot-shot Morgan nearly set up an equaliser in the second half but Everton's Hallam Hope diverted his free-kick narrowly past the post.
This will be Holland's second appearance into the finals in three years.
