It's provided the setting for some of the most iconic moments in sporting history – and now Anfield is to supply the backdrop for a new movie.
Shooting for the big screen adaptation of hit stage show 'One Night in Istanbul' wrapped up in L4 last week, with the film set to hit cinemas in early 2013.
The comedy drama is centred around Liverpool's dramatic 2005 Champions League final triumph in Turkey.
While the movie tells the tale of how the Reds defied all odds to stage the greatest comeback in football history and secure the European Cup for a fifth time, its plot mainly focuses around the exploits of four supporters as they attempt to reach the Ataturk Stadium.
Written and produced by Nicky Allt, the movie stars Steven Waddington, Paul Barber and Samantha Womack, and scenes were also filmed on location in Istanbul.
LFC TV Online's cameras were at Anfield for the final day's shooting last week to bring you this special report, which you can enjoy for FREE now.
