Allen passes 1,000 mark

Joe Allen played his 1,000th pass of the 2012-13 Barclays Premier League campaign against Southampton on Saturday.

The Wales midfielder has hit 1,008 passes so far this season and that total leaves him fifth in the league table of overall passes behind the likes of Mikel Arteta, Yaya Toure and Michael Carrick.
