Daniel Strurridge insists he doesn't feel under any extra pressure ahead of his first World Cup with England in Brazil.
Liverpool's No.15 fired 24 goals in a red shirt last season with 21 of them coming in the Barclays Premier League, and all eyes are on him to lead the line for Roy Hodgson's side in June.
Sturridge insists he will just play his normal game and give his all for the team cause.
"I don't feel any pressure in terms of the task ahead because I feel that we have prepared for this," said Sturridge.
"I am excited by it all. When you are young you always want these moments. This is my first World Cup. It's just embracing it all, not about feeling any pressure to do something amazing.
"For me, I just think I have to play my normal game, my natural game and if that is good enough to get myself in the starting side, then it's fantastic.
"If other players are selected ahead of me I will support them and try to get myself in the next game.
"So it's just about playing my natural game and not worrying about scoring goals because when you put pressure on yourself sometimes you don't perform as well as you can."
The striker also revealed spirits in the camp are high ahead of the tournament and said the Three Lions can't wait for the World Cup to begin.
He added: "There's a good vibe throughout the whole camp.
"Everyone is feeling good about the training and about what we've got planned in Miami. We're a tight-knit group and that's improving every day.
"It's been a great time for the whole squad and everyone is looking forward to the World Cup now, we can't wait to be there.
"But it's professional at the same time. We've got a job to do, we're not here for laughing and joking, it's a World Cup and we're taking it very seriously.
"When we're on the training field everyone is straight down to business and when we come off the field everyone is one unit together.
"We look forward to every session and we're trying to be in optimum shape for the first game."
