Brendan Rodgers is hopeful that Spanish defender Jose Enrique could make a return from injury against Fulham this weekend.
The Liverpool No.3 has not featured since the visit of Crystal Palace at the beginning of October due to an ongoing knee problem.
But the 27-year-old is in line for a potential comeback when the Reds welcome the Cottagers to Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
"We're just waiting on Jose," the manager explained to the Liverpool Echo.
"He has trained and his knee is much better so we'll be hoping he will be available for the weekend.
"That's something we'll assess in the next 24 hours. It will be great to have Jose back."
