Liverpool FC is giving away a pair of tickets to watch the Reds in pre-season action in August to one lucky fan who follows the club's new Norwegian-language Twitter account.
@LFCNorwegian was officially launched today on the micro-blogging social media platform and will deliver LFC updates every day in local language for the club's fans in Norway.
The new account, which is already being followed by more than 1,000 fans, is the club's 15th official international Twitter account to be launched since November 2012 and, as with official LFC accounts in Indonesia, Thailand, France and Bangladesh amongst other countries, @LFCNorwegian will be targeted at fans for whom English is not a first language.
As well as translating breaking news from the club into Norwegian, the new account will tweet exclusive content tailored specifically for Norwegian fans and will work closely with the official supporters' club in the country - Liverpool's largest official fan club in the world - to cover events happening all over Norway.
The launch of the @LFCNorwegian account was today welcomed by Tore Hansen, secretary of Liverpool FC Supporters' Club Norway, who told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's great to see LFC go from strength to strength using local language in social media all over the world.
"In Norway, the Reds obviously have a big fan base already but the new Twitter account in Norwegian will help recruit even more fans - and also bring the fans closer to the club.
"For us, as an official branch, it's great to see that the club still finds Norway attractive and this account will help us to grow as well. It's all for the benefit of the big LFC family over here."
To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets for Liverpool's match against Vålerenga at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on August 7, simply follow @LFCNorwegian today.
One lucky follower, picked at random at noon on Friday, July 12, will win the pair of tickets for the match. Please note the prize does not include travel.
