Liverpool Football Club is delighted to announce the launch today of a new official Twitter account for Greek supporters.
The new account - @GreeceLFC - is the club's 14th official international Twitter account and forms an integral part of a dedicated programme of online activity designed to help break down language barriers amongst Liverpool supporters all over the world.
Liverpool have more than 110,000 fans from Greece on the club's official Facebook page and Greek is the 12th most-spoken language by LFC followers on the same platform.
The account, which is now live, has already made headlines in Greece with a number of sports websites reporting on the fact that Liverpool FC have become the first football club in the world - outside of Greece - to create an official social media channel specifically for Greek fans.
With Greek also spoken by many Liverpool supporters in Cyprus, Australia and in many other parts of the world, the new account aims to help bring even more fans closer still to the club they love.
Stay tuned to Liverpoolfc.com in the coming weeks for details of the launch of further new official international accounts as the club aims to fulfil its 2013 promise to engage with more fans in more countries than ever before.
