Spain and Italy meet today in a Euro 2012 Group C clash which promises to have everyone glued to their TV screens.

As well as the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Mario Balotelli and Daniele De Rossi, there will be a host of familiar faces both on the field and on the bench as a number of former Reds have been drafted into the Spanish squad for the tournament.

And so to help you get in the mood for today's showpiece event, we took a trip down memory lane to pick-out some of Liverpool's finest wins on Spanish and Italian soil.

From John Toshack's towering header against Barcelona at the Nou Camp to Yossi Benayoun's late winner against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, many a memorable Liverpool victory has been claimed in either Spain or Italy.

Usually don't like berating ex-Liverpool players but I can't help but notice how torrid Torres was.
