Steven Gerrard's 30th successful penalty conversion for Liverpool on Sunday set our minds thinking – who is the most accurate spot-kick taker in the club's history? Find out with our latest 'Kop 10'…

The club has employed its fair share of penalty specialists through the years, with current captain Gerrard certainly among them.

Midfielder Jan Molby was lauded for his clinical finishing from 12 yards, as was John Aldridge. Former Reds forward Dirk Kuyt could be relied upon too - but who is the best ever?

To decide the debate, we delved into the archive and examined the statistics to determine a top 10 of Anfield penalty kings.

Two criteria were considered before compiling the list - the player had to have attempted at least 10 penalties to be included in the running.

Therefore Danny Murphy, who scored each of the eight spot-kicks he took for the Reds, does not feature on the list despite his impressive 100 per cent record.

Spot-kicks taken during penalty shoot-outs were also not included.

Too bad Danny wasn't considered. I think he takes some of the best ever penalties for us - hard and unstoppable towards the top corner.
