Every Liverpool fan will have a favourite Merseyside derby memory from down the decades and at Liverpoolfc.com we have put together our favourite 10.
For those who missed the Wembley cup finals of the 1980s, Gary Mac's stunner at Goodison Park in 2001 might be the stand-out memory.
Younger fans might point to Andy Carroll out-leaping the Blues' back-four to nod the Reds into the FA Cup final at Wembley earlier this year as their most joyful experience.
Those of an older vintage might well recall the sight of super-sub David Fairclough blazing a trail through the heart of the Everton defence to smash home a late, late winner at Anfield in 1976.
While others might be tempted to go even further back, to the day in 1970 when Bill Shankly's Reds trailed their neighbours by two goals with half an hour left and something magical happened.
A panel of Liverpoolfc.com staff got together to try and whittle down, and then put into order, our favourite 10 Merseyside derby memories.
It wasn't easy and we've had to omit some classic encounters but click the link below to count down our selection and click on the pictures to view a piece of footage from each game.
