Emre Can set up Germany's final goal in their 4-1 Confederations Cup semi-final win over Mexico on Thursday evening.

Liverpool midfielder Can replaced Leon Goretzka - who put the world champions 2-0 up with a brace inside the opening eight minutes - midway through the second half in Sochi.

Timo Werner had put Germany three goals to the good shortly before Can's introduction, and the Reds' No.23 set up Amin Younes for their fourth in injury time after Marco Fabian had pulled one back for Mexico.

Can and his countrymen will face Chile - with whom they drew 1-1 in the group stages - in Sunday's final in St Petersburg.
