Emre Can played the full 90 minutes as Germany drew 1-1 with Chile in the Confederations Cup on Thursday evening.

The Liverpool midfielder put in an impressive display at the heart of the world champions' midfield as they recovered from an early setback to claim a point in the Group B fixture in Kazan.

Alexis Sanchez put Chile ahead in the sixth minute, with Can then shooting narrowly wide himself before playing a key role in Germany's equaliser shortly before the break.

The Reds' No.23 surged forward and slid an inch-perfect pass into the path of Jonas Hector, whose cross was converted from close range by Lars Stindl.

Joachim Low's Germany conclude their pool-phase commitments against Cameroon in Sochi on Sunday.
