Liverpool legend and club ambassador Ian Rush was in Sydney today to help announce the Reds' post-season friendly against Sydney FC - here's a selection of photographs from the event on Bondi Beach.
Jürgen Klopp will take his side Down Under for the fixture at the ANZ Stadium on May 24 with the A-League outfit, which will be our first ever appearance in the city.
The match is also the closest outing to the club’s 125th anniversary on June 3, and there’ll be special activities around the friendly to mark the historic milestone.
Rush was present at the picturesque setting of Bondi Beach to make the announcement, alongside Sydney FC’s Josh Brillante.
General admission tickets for the friendly will be on sale from 11am AEST on Wednesday April 12 via www.ticketek.com.au/lfc. Local official supporters’ clubs and official members will receive an email on Tuesday April 11 about a priority pre-sale.
