Adam Lallana registered an assist during England’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania at Wembley on Sunday evening.

Liverpool midfielder Lallana played the full 90 minutes and set up Jamie Vardy’s second-half goal with a deft first-time pass inside the penalty area.

Jermain Defoe had earlier put the Three Lions on their way to a comfortable victory by opening the scoring in the 21st minute.

Reds full-back Nathaniel Clyne was an unused substitute for Gareth Southgate’s side, while Emre Can also remained on the bench throughout Germany’s 4-1 win over Azerbaijan.
