Joe Gomez earns recall for England U21s
Joe Gomez will take another step in his return from long-term injury when he joins the England U21 squad for two upcoming friendlies.
The Young Lions are set to face Germany and Denmark away from home later this month as they maintain preparations for the U21 European Championship this summer.
Gomez made a long-awaited comeback for the Reds in January and, alongside being a regular for the U23s side, has appeared on two further occasions at senior level this season.
England U21s meet Germany on Friday March 24 and Denmark on Monday March 27.
