Fancy seeing you here! Stevie G and Lucas catch up at the Academy
It was a case of old friends reunited this week when Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva crossed paths at the Academy.
The pair were teammates for eight years between 2007 and 2015, partnering each other in the centre of the park on countless occasions.
Gerrard returned to the club’s Academy last month to take up a wide-ranging coaching role, while Lucas is fast approaching 10 years as a Liverpool player.
On Wednesday, the Brazilian ventured across to Kirkby to oversee a coaching session with International Academy Soccer School players – and he bumped into a familiar face.
