Sadio Mane netted for the second game running as Senegal beat Zimbabwe 2-0 in the Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday night.

Liverpool’s No.19 fired the opening goal after just nine minutes when he timed his run to perfection to steer home a low cross at the back post.

Henri Saivet then made it 2-0 on 14 minutes courtesy of a superb free-kick.

Mane was a threat throughout the encounter and might have added another goal when he curled an effort over the bar after cutting in from the right flank before also seeing an effort cleared from the line.

Having sealed their qualification for the quarter-final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal play their final group game on Monday night against Algeria.
