It was a busy Friday at Melwood, as Jürgen Klopp held his pre-West Ham United press conference before overseeing training and Joel Matip was named Liverpool's Player of the Month for November.

Centre-back Matip has opted against representing Cameroon in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations - a decision his manager feels represents good news for Liverpool.

Klopp also provided an update on Daniel Sturridge's fitness and a review of the benefits of his squad's three-night break in Spain earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Matip's excellent form throughout November saw him win the club's Player of the Month award.
