It was announced this morning that Liverpool Legends will take on their Real Madrid counterparts at Anfield on Saturday March 25, 2017, with all proceeds from the friendly going to the LFC Foundation.

To help promote the match, Reds icons Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush were joined by Roberto Carlos, Emilio Butragueno and Ricardo Gallego in L4 for a press conference and photo opportunities.

Meanwhile, this evening's draw for the third round of the FA Cup - which was conducted by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, along with ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright - saw Jürgen Klopp's team pitted against either Newport County or Plymouth Argyle.

The game at Anfield will be played over the weekend of January 6, 7 and 8 - and Newport and Plymouth will meet in their second-round replay on Tuesday December 13.

Yesterday afternoon saw Liverpool's 15-match unbeaten run come to an end with a 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth.

Klopp's side led 2-0 and 3-1 at the Vitality Stadium, but came away with nothing due to three goals in the final 17 minutes from the hosts.

Captain Jordan Henderson told us after the game that the only way to get over such a heartbreaking loss is to work hard and keep focused at Melwood.
