Jürgen Klopp used his pre-match press conference on Friday morning to update on the injury latest as we gear up for Sunday’s journey to the south coast.

Meanwhile, the manager insisted during his pre-match briefing with journalists Liverpool won’t be looking to sell any members of the first-team squad in January.

“What can I say about this? There’s absolutely no idea or no thought to sell any player of the first-team squad actually. I don’t think it would make sense to."

Dates for the diary…

Liverpool confirmed the dates for their two-legged EFL Cup semi-final tie with Southampton today.

The St Mary’s clash will be played on Wednesday January 11, kicking off at 7.45pm, while the Anfield return is scheduled for Wednesday January 25, with an 8pm kick-off. Both matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
