Rickie Lambert has labelled Liverpool's attacking exploits this season as 'unbelievable' but described Saturday's clash with Southampton as 'a hard one to call'.

Two of the striker’s former clubs meet at St Mary’s this weekend as the Premier League returns following the international break.

The Reds will attempt to maintain a prolific run that has racked up 40 goals in all competitions so far, while the Saints will try to repeat the victory they secured in the same fixture last term.

“It’s going to be a great game and a hard one to call,” Lambert told Premier League Productions.

“Liverpool are unbelievable going forward at the moment but I think Southampton are one of the strongest teams defensively and as a team, going forward and defending, Southampton are a very, very good team.”
