Tuesday’s round-up of the latest Liverpool FC news features details of new contracts for three promising young players, Sadio Mane explaining why he feels his move to Anfield came down to destiny and an unseen look at the Reds’ win over Watford.

Our top three stories…

The day began with the news Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn had committed their futures to the club by signing new long-term contracts.

"This is really positive news of course, and it's brilliant we have acted decisively to show our intent with our young players,” said Jürgen Klopp.

Elsewhere, Sadio Mane revealed why he felt it was destiny for him to play under the stewardship of Klopp.

He said: “Now I’m lucky enough to be working with one of the best managers in football. It was meant to happen and I am very happy to be learning all the time from him.”

Speaking of Mane, Jordan Henderson believes the Senegal forward’s partnership with Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho is ‘unstoppable’ when they’re in top form.

“They are world-class players. Their understanding of the game, not only going forward, but also the work rate they all give for the team in terms of pressing and winning the ball back high up the pitch,” said the captain.
