Henderson and Lallana: Ings will come back stronger
After it was confirmed on Wednesday morning that Danny Ings would require surgery on a knee injury sustained against Tottenham last week, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana took to social media to post personal messages of support to the Liverpool striker.
Reds captain Henderson said on his Instagram account: "Gutted for this man, but he will be back stronger! We are all behind you! #YNWA".
Meanwhile, Lallana used his official Instagram to write: "A top person, a top pro and a top player. He's cleared every hurdle placed in front of him - this one will be no different. Come back stronger and better!"
