In numbers

Enjoy that win even more by taking a look at the stats behind it all.

Not sure if there's one for 'nails bitten', though...

Full Time

Swansea City 1-2 Liverpool

What a comeback from the Reds!

They looked up against it when the Swans took an early lead and effectively dominated the first period, putting in a performance that shows why they aren't expected to be near the foot of the Premier League for long.

But a well-taken header from Roberto Firmino and nerves of steel from James Milner in dispatching a late spot-kick ensured the visitors take three points home with them. Get in!

90+3

Swansea should be level and the home fans know it.

Rangel swings in a cross from deep and there's uncertainty in the Reds' backline, which gives Mike van der Hoorn the freedom of the box to score.

Thankfully, he sidefoots wide, and the visitors are surely going to hold on now.

90

Four added minutes for the Reds to see this out. Come on, lads!

89

So close to 3-1.

Can is released into the area by Origi after a brilliant supporting run but the deflection on his low cross sends it straight into the arms of Fabianski.

85

Substitution

A double change for the Reds, who bring on Emre Can and Divock Origi for Gini Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino.

84

Goal

Swansea City 1-2 Liverpool (James Milner)

The Reds are ahead. Milner steps up and waits for Fabianski to lie down before dinking the ball home. What a pen!

83

Penalty

PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL!

Barrow inadvertently boots the ball into the air as Swansea look to clear and, as Firmino takes the ball down to shoot, he is clumsily challenged by Rangel.

The referee has no choice - spot-kick.

77

Loris Karius comes to claim a Swansea corner but misses the ball entirely and Liverpool are somewhat fortunate that there's no touch to send it into the back of the net.

72

Substitution

The third and final Swansea substitution, with Jay Fulton replacing Leroy Fer.

69

Liverpool should be ahead!

Milner wins the ball just outside the Swansea area and pulls back to Mane but the Senegalese isn't receiving a perfect pass and, by the time he gets a shot off, a defender is there to block.

Keep going, Reds.

64

Match shot

That's passion. Get in!

63

Substitution

And another change, with Leon Britton making way for Ki Sung-Yeung.

62

Substitution

A change for Swansea, who introduce Modou Barrow in place of Wayne Routledge.

58

Coutinho fires the ball into Wijnaldum at the edge of the box, who produces a stunned touch to tee it up for his teammate.

Unfortunately, the No.10's curled effort flies just wide.

54

Goal

Swansea City 1-1 Liverpool (Roberto Firmino)

Coutinho's free-kick delivery hits the wall but Henderson is on hand to loft the ball back into the box, where Firmino glances it in with his head.

Well finished from the Brazilian - Liverpool back in business.

53

Yellow Card

Sadio Mane plays a one-two with Roberto Firmino and is in at the Swansea defence but he is dragged back by Leon Britton, who sees yellow as a result.

48

Liverpool knocking at the door early on this half with Firmino testing Fabianski from distance and Mane having an effort cleared off the line.

This is much improved but the Reds will have to be careful about the counter

46

Half Time

Swansea City 1-0 Liverpool

Not a good half from the Reds but there were some encouraging signs towards the end of that 45 minutes.

And the good news is that the deficit is just one at the break - it can be turned around from here.

45

Two minutes added time at the end of the first half at the Liberty Stadium.

43

Match shot

Loris Karius barks out orders from between the sticks for Liverpool.

38

Yellow Card

Sturridge gets the ball just inside the area and steams past two defenders before going down.

The referee isn't convinced, though, and shows the striker a yellow card for hitting the deck too easily.

35

Much better from the Reds as a slick exchange releases Clyne into the box but his low cross is well cut out.

26

Yellow Card

Jordan Henderson in the book for a shirt pull on Jack Cork and Liverpool go very close to conceding from a Borja header as the free-kick comes in.

The Reds really on the ropes here.

24

Substitution

And there it is. Sturridge on to replace his fellow Englishman.

20

Adam Lallana is back on the pitch after a brief period of treatment but he isn't going to be able to continue.

The No.20 heads down the tunnel and it looks like Daniel Sturridge will replace him shortly.

15

Firmino loses possession in a dangerous area and Fer almost capitalises on the space as he cracks a shot over the bar.

Liverpool really need to get going again now.

8

Goal

Swansea City 1-0 Liverpool (Leroy Fer)

A corner is delivered to the back post where Borja beats Clyne to send a header back across goal for Fer, who has the simple job of toeing home.

The Reds behind early doors.

6

Huge chance for Swansea as Routledge sends in a delicious cross from the right toward the unmarked Borja.

Unfortunately for the hosts, the striker can only head the ball over when he perhaps should've done better.

3

An early opportunity for Clyne to get the ball into the box from the right-hand side but Swansea defend it well.

Encouraging start from the Reds here.
