Sheyi Ojo today suffered international disappointment as England lost 2-1 to Italy in the semi-finals of the U19 European Championship.

Reds winger Ojo started Thursday's match in Mannheim on the bench, but was brought on by boss Aidy Boothroyd shortly before the hour with England trailing 1-0 to Federico Dimarco's first-half penalty.

Dimarco struck again shortly after Ojo's introduction, but the Liverpool man added some much needed attacking threat for Boothroyd's side.

It was Ojo's corner in the 85th minute that led to his team pulling one back courtesy of an own goal from Alberto Picchi, but an equaliser did not materialise and England crashed out.
