Klopp's Wigan reaction, transfer plans and more

The boss has also been speaking to reporters about the win at Wigan and potential transfer plans for the rest of this summer, as well as chatting about Ben Woodburn's impact and the performances of his new signings.

Read it all here.

Klopp on Matip injury

Joel Matip limped off in the final stages of today's win and the Reds played out the final moments with 10 men; however, Jürgen Klopp is hopeful it's not serious.

“I hope it’s only a minor problem. He said he’s had it one or two times already."

Full Time

Reds make it three out of three

Liverpool collect their third win of pre-season so far thanks to second-half goals from Danny Ings and Ben Woodburn.

The Reds dominant throughout, with the first sight of Philippe Coutinho this summer seeing the Brazilian twice hit the woodwork in the first half.

Next up for Jürgen Klopp's men are Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.

86

A Liverpool counter-attack, spearheaded by Tiago Ilori down the left, results in Danny Ings having a close-range whack blocked by the boot of Lee Nicholls.

74

Goal

And it's 2-0!

Liverpool have a quick-fire second and it's a lovely goal. Ryan Kent spins away from his marker in midfield, slides Ben Woodburn through on goal and the 16-year-old does the rest by dinking the ball beyond Lee Nicholls with the composure of someone 10 years his senior.

Brilliant stuff.

Goal

GOAL! DANNY INGS!

Liverpool finally have the lead as Danny Ings controls Lazar Markovic's cross and prods beyond Lee Nicholls from close range.

I hate to say I told you so...

68

Joel Matip bursts down the right wing - yes, Joel Matip - and squares for Markovic in the box, who in turn feeds Ryan Kent. A step-over or two later, the youngster drills just off target. Unlucky.

64

I was almost scarily accurate with my last update as Lucas arrows a strike low across goal and just wide.

64

At the other end, Alexander-Arnold fires high over the bar following a good move from the Reds. You do feel there's a goal in this game, though.

61

Yanic Wildschut cuts in from the left and smacks one towards Loris Karius' near post, but he's off target.

54

Danny Ings creates space inside the box after collecting Lazar Markovic's pass, but toe-pokes inches wide of the post.

50

Lucas sends Ings scampering into space inside the box. He drives the ball left footed across goal, but Nicholls saves.

46

Substitution

So, eight changes for the Reds at the break. Here's how we're lining up in this second period...

Karius, Wisdom, Ilori, Matip, Randall, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Kent, Markovic, Woodburn, Ings.

Kick-Off

We're back underway...

Liverpool re-start the game at the DW having made several changes at the break. We'll have details of those in a moment for you..

Your first-half stats from the DW Stadium...

45

All square at the break

So, it's goalless at the break at the DW Stadium, but it's fair to say Liverpool have dominated the half with Philippe Coutinho hitting the woodwork twice.

45

Eljara speeds past Taylor inside the area after collecting Mane's deep delivery, but he shoots straight at Nicholls.

41

Stunning play from Coutinho to pirouette away from a defender inside the box results in the Little Magician fashioning a chance for Mane, whose snap-effort is blocked by the legs of Nicholls.

Our No.10 pounces on the ball again, dances away from two challenges and strikes hard and low - but again the 'keeper is able to save.

40

Firmino and Coutinho combine to tee up Eljara inside the box, but he's thwarted by a flying block from Colclough.

30

A real let-off for Liverpool - and Loris Karius. The German goalkeeper takes his eye off the ball as Joel Matip rolls it back to him. Sanmi Odelusi senses an opportunity and only a last-ditch dive by the Reds' No.1 prevents him from tapping into an empty net.

23

The home fans have been irked. They think Loris Karius collected Connor Randall's back header outside of his area. The referee isn't interested.

22

Another shot from Coutinho, who is looking sharp. This time it's well over the bar, however.

20

Matip and Lovren both attack Brannagan's free-kick from the right, with the former headed well over.

It's all Liverpool here in the sunshine.

15

Off the woodwork...again!

Philippe Coutinho is left clutching his head in his hands once more as he dummies onto his left foot inside the box before cracking an effort against the post. Unlucky once again, Phil.

13

Magnificent nimble footwork from Roberto Firmino allows him to create space for a cross on the right. His low ball towards the near post is almost flicked into the net by Philippe Coutinho, but a defender makes a crucial block.

5

Off the bar!

Philippe Coutinho goes agonisingly close to opening the scoring inside five minutes here as his dipping free-kick from the right cannons against the crossbar and Wigan scramble it to safety.
