Adam Lallana has observed a level of sharpness in Daniel Sturridge that is making the Liverpool striker 'very dangerous' for England at Euro 2016.

The 26-year-old was the match-winner on Thursday with an instinctive finish against Wales which handed the Three Lions a crucial 2-1 result and current command of Group B.

His effort showed off almost everything Sturridge provides to a team, with his awareness, desire and quick thinking combining to create an ‘unbelievable’ moment.

England can now book a place in the tournament’s knockout stages with a positive result from their meeting with Slovakia on Monday – and Lallana believes his Anfield teammate will continue to make an impact.

He said: “It’s difficult for anyone when you have faced a lot of injuries but that was the fittest I have seen him for a while, even including towards the back end of the season for Liverpool.

“He just seems to be getting fitter and fitter and he was looking very dangerous against Wales, which is great for us.”
