Everton today led the tributes across the Barclays Premier League to the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

A 27-year fight for justice reached a significant milestone earlier this week with the conclusion of the inquests into the deaths of 96 Liverpool supporters at Hillsborough, and that was recognised in touching fashion up and down the country ahead of Saturday's fixtures.

Toffees players warmed up for their meeting with Bournemouth wearing t-shirts reading, '96 - Truth & Justice', while the cover of the matchday programme was dedicated to those who fought so long to clear the name of their loved ones.

The families were also welcomed onto the pitch at Goodison Park prior to kick-off, where they received a rousing ovation from both sets of fans.

Elsewhere, a rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' broke out among Newcastle United supporters during a planned minute's applause at St James' Park.

Watford and Stoke City also offered touching tributes ahead of home fixtures this afternoon, playing out the club's anthem and showing the names of the 96 on a pitchside screen respectively.

West Bromwich Albion, meanwhile, have stated their intention to pay their respects to families and those who died at Hillsborough when Liverpool head to the Hawthorns on the final day of the season.
