Liverpool have been drawn to face Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

The Reds' reward for their thrilling victory over Borussia Dortmund is a two-legged clash with La Liga's fourth-placed team, who overcame Sparta Praha to reach the last four.

The first leg of the tie will be played at El Madrigal on Thursday April 28, with the return fixture scheduled for Thursday May 5 at Anfield - both kicking off at 8.05pm BST.

Liverpool have never faced Villarreal in European competition before, but did play out a 0-0 pre-season friendly draw at the home of the Yellow Submarine in the summer of 2008.

The Barclays Premier League fixture at Swansea City has therefore been rescheduled for a 12pm kick-off on Sunday May 1.

And the home clash against Watford will now take place on Sunday May 8, with a kick-off time to be confirmed.
