The panel on this week’s edition of 'Press Box' on LFCTV were gushing in their praise of Liverpool’s star No.10 Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian has put in a number scintillating performances this season and was today named as Standard Chartered Player of the Month for March as fans recognised his fine form.

Dominic King of the Daily Mail believes the midfielder is now having a crucial impact in determining Liverpool’s results.

“It's all very well seeing the nice tricks and feints but you need the end product,” King said on the show.

“As a real, top-draw player you've got to influence games and be responsible for getting points - that's what he's doing now.

“I think he's settled. He's got a great relationship with Lucas and [Roberto] Firmino - there's a tight little bunch there.

“I've been waiting for him to stamp his presence on games and he's doing that now. For the last six weeks, I think he's been brilliant.”

Sky Sports’ Rob Palmer feels Coutinho has come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of seasons.

He said: “I think he's one those players that if you're watching Liverpool on a week-by-week basis then you don't appreciate just how far he has come.

“If you watch him a year ago to where he is now, there's a consistency that has crept into his game.

“We know what he's got and we saw it in flashes, but now I think he is becoming a 90-minute man. He doesn't do it for a bit and then disappear.”
