Ahead of tonight's Europa League last 32, second-leg tie with FC Augsburg at Anfield, check out 15 pre-match facts and figures about the game – courtesy of club statistician Ged Rea.

Liverpool have drawn 0-0 in the first leg of a European tie in Germany on three previous occasions and have progressed each time.

Liverpool have played German opposition 16 times at Anfield in European competition and have never lost, winning 13 and drawing three. They have conceded only four times, keeping 12 clean sheets. The only visitors to score were Dynamo Berlin (the scorer was Wolf-Rudiger Netz in 1972), Dynamo Dresden (Gerd Heidler in 1976 and Reinhard Hafner 1977) and Bayer Leverkusen (Franca in 2005).

In the clash in Augsburg a week ago Jürgen Klopp named an unchanged Liverpool team for the first time.

The Reds are unbeaten at home in Europe in five games since they lost to Real Madrid last season. They have won two and drawn three.

Liverpool are also one of 11 previous winners of the competition in the last 32. Anderlecht, Porto, Tottenham, Sevilla, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, Galatasaray, Schalke and Shakhtar Donetsk are the other 10.

This is the first time in 13 years the Reds have faced German opposition - the last occasion saw them defeat Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 both home and away.

Liverpool have lost only three of 17 penalty shootouts in all competitions and have won three out of four in Europe. Their only setback against foreign opponents came last season in Turkey against Besiktas with Dejan Lovren missing after Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Joe Allen had all scored.

If Liverpool can prevent Augsburg from scoring it will be the first time since the opening three matches of the season that they have kept clean sheets in a trio of successive games.

Alberto Moreno will be suspended from the next game this season if he receives a third yellow card of the campaign this evening.

This is Augsburg's first ever European campaign and Liverpool are their first English opponents.

Founded in 1907, this is their fifth season in Germany's top-flight having earned promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in their history in 2010-11.

South Korea striker Ji Dong-won was on the books at Dortmund during Klopp's time in charge. He managed two goals in 24 Premier League appearances for Sunderland between 2011 and 2014 and played at Anfield in a 1-1 draw in 2011.

Augsburg have lost only one of the last eight games away from home in all competitions - winning six of those. They have prevented the opposition scoring in all but two of them.

Last Sunday they won their first game in six, when Koo Ja-Cheol's goal secured a 1-0 victory at bottom club Hannover.

They have kept five clean sheets in their last seven games in league and cup.
