Jürgen Klopp wants a 'fighting performance' from his team as Liverpool target a third consecutive win today, against Swansea City at Anfield.

Fresh from securing a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League by beating Bordeaux on home soil, the Reds quickly switch attention back to the Barclays Premier League this afternoon.

The boss is expecting a stern test from the Welsh visitors but, as he writes in his programme notes, insists his side know what is required to record another victory.

“We have to be at our very best if we want to get another good result and improve our league position,” says Klopp.

“This is an extremely tough game for us and the players are aware of what they need to do. This competition is so competitive and Swansea have proved this season they can beat any team in this league.

“I would like to thank the supporters for their brilliant backing on Thursday night; the atmosphere and noise was very good and helped the players.

“I hope we can produce another fighting performance that makes you proud of this team.”
