Divock Origi believes he has everything he needs to become a top player at Liverpool, not least the belief of his manager.

The Belgian forward was initially brought to the club by Brendan Rodgers in the summer of 2014, but remained at Lille on loan for another season in order to continue honing his skills.

He returned to Merseyside after that stint ready to make a big impression in his maiden campaign, though the appointment of Jürgen Klopp in October meant he was potentially facing a fresh battle to impress the club's manager.

However, the 20-year-old has received plenty of reassurance that the German is a fan of his, and says he is enjoying learning from him on a daily basis.

"If you look at the new manager, the immediate feeling is that he sends a lot of positive energy to everyone," he told the latest issue of the official Liverpool FC magazine.

"He likes to work with everybody and help them make progress and he has a clear plan.

"That has also come across in what I have seen in the first games he has been in charge.

"When you have a coach like this it means you have a leader who sends this energy to the group and we try to react for him in every way. I think it should be a good partnership for him and Liverpool.

"I heard he said he'd been interested in signing me when he was at Bourssia Dortmund so that shows that he is aware of my qualities.

"That was nice to hear but eventually it is down to me to show what I can do on the pitch and I have to focus on that.

"Everybody at the club believes in me so I have to work hard and try to maximise every moment of playing time I get."

Origi's pursuit of perfection means he is regularly found analysing footage of his past performances in order to work out where he can improve.

And the striker says he is keen to supplement his hard work on the training field by making the best use of the club's world-class facilities and range of experts.

He explained: "I firmly believe that it is important to improve every day and here at Liverpool we have an analysis team who can help you all the time.

"I try to use what I see of my own performances in matches but also examine what other strikers have in their game and learn from their expereinces if possible.

"I know that if I can add to my qualities, that can add up to me having a good performance.

"Here you have everything you could want to succeed. There is a good staff who can assist you, you can do extra training, you can study video analysis.

"Outside of the football istself we have great fitness coaches and dieticians so you have everything in place to help you become a good player."
