Adam Bogdan has described the start of his Liverpool career as a 'special story' that he hopes to add to in the coming months.

The Hungarian's first two appearances for the club since his summer switch from Bolton Wanderers have both come in the Capital One Cup, and he has played a key role in the Reds reaching the quarter-final stage.

Bogdan was the penalty shootout hero on an unforgettable debut outing against Carlisle United, saving three spot-kicks to take his team into the next round.

And, though the No.34 was not called on quite as often against AFC Bournemouth last month, he made several smart saves to keep a crucial clean sheet.

Reflecting on the first months of his time on Merseyside, Bogdan told Liverpoolfc.com: "It was a good start. The first one was an interesting one, that was special!

"Ideally, you always want to keep a clean sheet, so maybe you are not that happy.

"But in the end it turned out to be a very special story and I don't think I could have imagined a more interesting debut than that.

"The second game was a very neat, very mature performance and result with a clean sheet and progress in the cup.

"The two games were good and I'm hoping that there's more to come but again I have to come back to the point that training has to be done 100 per cent.

"I have to improve everyday, and I hope if that happens I will get the chance again."

Unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old is happy with how things have gone for him at Anfield so far, but says that small taste of action has only whetted his appetite.

"It's very intense because we have a lot of games and we do a lot of travelling but it's a fantastic experience," he added.

"It's a great feeling that I can improve everyday, I'm surrounded by top professionals, and there is no other way but to improve.

"When I had the chance to play, that was the icing on top of the cake. It was amazing and something that helps you focus and helps you to go forward and hoping that you get more experiences like that.

"Both games I really enjoyed and there were special moments in both games. Once you tasted it you just want more and that helps you train everyday."
