Sakho withdraws from France squad
Mamadou Sakho has withdrawn from international duty following the injury he suffered with Liverpool on Sunday, the French Football Federation confirmed today.
The defender was forced to leave the pitch shortly before half-time against Crystal Palace due to an awkward fall after an aerial challenge.
Reds boss Jürgen Klopp confirmed post-match that Sakho would undergo a scan this evening.
And the centre-back will now not be involved in France’s upcoming friendlies with Germany and England.
