Ahead of Liverpool’s Europa League clash with FC Sion at Anfield tonight, swot up on all the pertinent pre-match facts and stats...

This will be Liverpool's 350th game in European competition, having won 194 of those.

Liverpool have met Swiss opposition 12 times down the years, winning six and losing twice.

At Anfield, the Reds have won three and drawn three, scoring 15 times in the process. The last three meetings have ended in a stalemate (Basel twice and Young Boys).

The teams were drawn to play each other once before in Europe. In 1996-97, a Cup Winners’ Cup tie saw Liverpool win 2-1 away with goals from Robbie Fowler and John Barnes. In the return, the Reds were emphatic 6-3 victors. Steve McManaman, Fowler (2), Barnes, Stig Inge Bjornebye and Patrik Berger were on target that night.

Liverpool have progressed from this stage of the Europa League on both previous appearances, topping the group each time.

At Anfield, the Reds have suffered just one defeat in the last 22 home games in the UEFA Cup/Europa League, losing 3-2 to Udinese in 2012. They have won 16 and drawn five in that period.

They have scored in each of the last seven Europa League games at Anfield and have failed to find the net in only two of the last 22 at home in this competition - in goalless draws with Braga and Utrecht.

In the game against Bordeaux two weeks ago, Joe Gomez and Pedro Chirivella (both aged 18 years, 117 days) became the club's joint-fifth youngest players in Europe while Jordan Rossiter (18 years, 177 days) is now number 10 on that list.

Three Liverpool players could play their 50th game for the club in all competitions if selected - Emre Can, Alberto Moreno and Mamadou Sakho. Meanwhile, Nathaniel Clyne could make the 250th appearance of his club career.

Sion are the only visiting European team to score three times in a game at Anfield and lose.

Reto Ziegler has faced Liverpool three times before while a player in England with Tottenham Hotspur and Wigan Athletic, while Elsad Zverotic scored a late equaliser for Young Boys in a 2-2 draw at Anfield in this competition in 2012. He has made three appearances against the Reds - including one for Fulham - and his teams have conceded 11 goals.

Away from home this season in all competitions, Sion have played seven, winning three, drawing two and losing two.

Sion have lost each of their last two games without scoring - the latter being a 1-0 home defeat by Vaduz on Sunday.
