Jordan Henderson says it is an 'amazing feeling' to be nominated to feature on the cover of EA SPORTS FIFA 16 in the UK and Ireland, and is hopeful Liverpool fans can help him claim the honour.

The Reds vice-captain is up against Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane and Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in a public vote, which you can help swing in his favour.

Fans can offer their backing to the No.14 by clicking here to give him one vote, while sharing your selection on social media will also strengthen his cause with 10 additional votes.

And the England midfielder has revealed just how much it would mean to him if he were to come out on top.

"[I'm] very excited, it's a big thing to be on the front cover of FIFA, so it's amazing to just be in the vote really," he said.

"It would mean a lot. When you're growing up as a kid and you're playing FIFA and you're going to buy the game, you'll see people on the front who you look up to and you never think you'll have an opportunity to be on there.

"I've got this opportunity, so it is an amazing feeling."

Henderson also explained why he believes he should be the winner, citing Liverpool's status as reason enough.

He continued: "I think I should be voted for the FIFA 16 cover star because I'm playing for the best club in the world, with the best fans in the world.

"I think that it's only right that we should be a part of the front cover of FIFA."
