'It's a great, great honour' - those are the first words Emre Can chose when asked for his reaction to a video of Liverpool supporters recently chanting his name.

The 21-year-old admitted back in early February he'd be 'delighted' if Reds fans crafted a ditty for him - and now they have.

Set to the tune of Black Lace's 1989 party classic 'I Am the Music Man', the song is simple enough - yet it means so much to Liverpool's No.23.

Upon watching a video of Kopites chanting it, he responded to Liverpoolfc.com: "It's a great, great honour for me.

"Things like that make me feel incredibly proud. It's difficult to put into words how it feels to have the fans behind you. I really appreciate what they've done and I want to repay them on the pitch. I'll give 100 per cent in every game for them.

"I'd heard a couple of times at Anfield that they've sung my name, and that made me really proud. I just want to repay the fans and hopefully we'll celebrate titles together in the coming seasons.

"Liverpool have got really great fans and it feels great to feel so welcome after such a short space of time. It makes me proud and you can't really describe this feeling."
