Daniel Sturridge is in line for a return from injury when Liverpool host West Ham United next weekend, Brendan Rodgers reported at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds were held to a goalless draw in their FA Cup fourth round tie against Bolton Wanderers and must now attempt to overcome the Championship side in a replay.

Next up, however, is the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final with Chelsea, scheduled for Tuesday evening at Stamford Bridge.

Sturridge, who has not featured since August, will be assessed ahead of the journey to London, but is expected to be available for the home clash with the Hammers.

"He starts training tomorrow with the team," said Rodgers. "He's in his final rehabilitation with the medical and sports science guys today.

"He joins in with the group now and it's just about getting football fitness and game fitness. We'll see how he is for Tuesday.

"If he's not ready for Tuesday then he'll be back, for sure, against West Ham next weekend."
