Update on friendly fixtures for U21s
In a change of opponent, Liverpool U21s will now face Burnley in a friendly fixture this Friday, while the young Reds will also meet Birmingham City at the beginning of next month.
Michael Beale's team were originally scheduled to take on Newcastle United on November 21, but the Clarets have today been confirmed as the visitors instead.
Kick-off remains 3pm GMT at the Kirkby Academy.
On Tuesday December 2, the U21s will host Birmingham in a friendly at the same venue, with a starting time for that encounter set at 2pm.
Neither of these games will be played behind closed doors.
