Mamadou Sakho was a dominant force at the back as France beat Spain 1-0 in an international friendly on Thursday night.

Liverpool's No.17 played the full 90 minutes as a 73rd minute strike from Chelsea's Loic Remy gave Les Bleus the victory in Paris.

Sakho's defensive partner Dejan Lovren played the whole game as Croatia recorded a 2-0 home win over Cyprus while Divock Origi started for Belgium in their 2-0 win over Australia.

Origi played for 80 minutes while Simon Mignolet was an unused substitute.
