Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson impressed as England beat Norway 1-0 in an international friendly at Wembley on Wednesday night.

The Liverpool trio were instrumental in ensuring the first Three Lions game since the World Cup finals earlier this summer ended in victory.

Indeed, man-of-the-match Sterling won the 68th minute penalty which allowed Wayne Rooney to fire home the only goal of the evening after being brought down in the box.

Fellow Red Rickie Lambert was also involved, entering the action as an 89th minute substitute by replacing Sturridge.

England are in action again on Monday night when they begin their Euro 2016 qualifiers away to Switzerland.
