Brendan Rodgers was quick to pay tribute to the fantastic support Liverpool received during their tour of the USA.

The Reds ended their stay in America with a 3-1 defeat by Manchester United in the final of the Guinness International Champions Cup, but the boss admitted the adulation shown to him and his squad by the people of Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Charlotte and Miami will stay with the party for a long time.

"It's been incredible the support we have had in every city and I just want to say a big thank you for all the support," Rodgers told Liverpoolfc.com.

"We've been away a long time with a lot of travel and a lot of work but every stadium we have been to the supporters gave us great support and for that we thank them."
