Conor Coady believes he's returned to Liverpool a better player following his successful loan spell at Sheffield United last season – and now he's determined to show it.

The 21-year-old spent 2013-14 with the League One club, making 50 appearances and scoring six goals.

Having now returned to Liverpool, Coady was included in the squad that has made the journey to Boston to ramp up preparations for the new campaign.

Shortly after the first training session at Harvard University, the midfielder sat down with LFCTV GO to outline his plans for the forthcoming United States tour and beyond.

"Last season helped me massively," he said. "There are a few loan lads coming back now and they want to prove themselves, so it's up to me to carry on working as hard as I can in training and hopefully I'll get a chance.

"I want to get as fit as possible, work as hard as possible and enjoy every minute of being out here. It's a fantastic place to be and we're going to some top places, so I want to enjoy it as much as I can."
