The Liverpool FC foundation college is currently recruiting for girls who want to become footballers and at the same time create a pathway for university and USA scholarships.

They are looking for school leavers aged between 16 and 17 who can start their training in September 2014.

The free taster sessions for girls will take place at Wyncote Sport Ground from July 14-18, between 10am and 12 noon, and also at the LFC Academy throughout August ( 5, 7, 12 14, and 19) between 5pm and 7pm.

The academic programme enables girls to study at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 - creating progression pathways to university and USA scholarships.

Many of the college's first cohort of students have already progressed onto USA colleges and UK universities to continue their studies.

The academic programme for girls is combined with the opportunity to become football coaches within the LFC Foundation, training three times per week and play in a team in the English colleges league.

The programme starts in September and will be based across two sites - Wyncote Sport Ground in South Liverpool and the brand new St.John Bosco ofsted graded 'outstanding' school in North Liverpool.

The football team is led by LFC ladies stars Natasha Dowie and Fara Williams, who are key members of reigning Women's Super League champions Liverpool Ladies.

Fixtures are played every Wednesday afternoon all over the country.

We are looking for girls who love football (ability does not matter) and are looking to continue their studies. All you need are astro trainers and a training kit. Please call 0151 724 4983 to book your place now.
