Liverpool had a representative in the World Cup final when the tournament travelled to the Far East 12 years ago, as Dietmar Hamann strode out on football's greatest stage with Germany.

The Anfield midfielder was ultimately a runner-up to Brazil in Korea/Japan, headlining a competition in 2002 that proved memorable for the various Reds participating for their country.
