The latest episode of LFCTV GO's 'World Cup Reds' series travels back to 1986 and a competition packed to the brim with excitement and controversy in Mexico.

Diego Maradona stole the show for right and wrong reasons, leading his country to glory in the final, while Manuel Negrete scored one of the tournament's most memorable goals with a scissor-kick for the hosts, and the iconic 'Mexican wave' was born.

Two Liverpool players were in action across the Atlantic too; Steve Nicol joined up with the Scottish national team, while Jan Molby became the Reds' first overseas player to take part in a World Cup, for Denmark.

Scotland would again fail to progress beyond the group stage, but Molby helped his side record a couple of outstanding victories before exiting at the hands of Spain. The 'Hand of God', meanwhile, put paid to England's hopes of glory.
