Liverpool FC Foundation is looking for new recruits to join its successful Youth Ambassador Programme for the 2014/15 season.

The Liverpool FC Youth Ambassador Programme, which is now in its fourth year, promises to be the most exciting and ambitious yet.

The popular programme, which is run in partnership with Liverpool City Council, provides thirty young people aged 16 to 19 with a range of employment experience and training opportunities.

On LFC home matchdays, the Youth Ambassadors work across different areas of Anfield Stadium including the Family Park and the Family stand. They also provide assistance to the LFC Fan Support Team offering advice and guidance to both home and away fans.

In addition to this, the Youth Ambassadors work at many of the city's biggest events. Some events that last season's Ambassadors were involved in include; the Liverpool Half Marathon, the Grand National, the Club's Hillsborough Scarves Campaign, the Hillsborough 25th Anniversary Memorial Service and the Celebration of the 96 charity match at Anfield.

At each of these events the Youth Ambassadors get an opportunity to put their skills to the test, whilst gaining valuable real life work experience.

Applicants should enjoy interacting with people of all ages and be able to commit to a weekly training session at the Club's education centre, Reducate based at Anfield Stadium, work at LFC home games and dedicate their time to the nine month programme.

Successful candidates will be provided with a uniform to wear at events and will be paid an hourly rate for all work they complete.

Keith White, Education Manager at Liverpool FC Foundation, said: "The LFC Youth Ambassador Programme is a fantastic opportunity for the young people of Liverpool to fully utilise their talents and qualities in a positive and engaging manner to promote Liverpool Football Club and the City of Liverpool.

"Weekly training sessions provide the Ambassadors with key employability and customer service skills.  Ambassadors from previous programmes have grown in confidence, realised their potential and have become more determined to succeed in their future careers."

Mark Haig, Liverpool FC Foundation's Head of Operations, added: "The Foundation is dedicated to supporting and encouraging young people through a range of different initiatives that help improve their lives.

"The Youth Ambassador Programme is a fantastic scheme, which provides youngsters with opportunities to gain important life skills and experience to enable them to go on and achieve their full potential."
